Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 20, 2026
Last Updated: September 20, 2026

Maple Career Hub respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly and transparently.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices available to you.

1. About Maple Career Hub

Maple Career Hub is an Ontario-based career advisory and referral service. We help individuals explore career and training options and, where appropriate, connect them with separately registered career colleges in Ontario.

Maple Career Hub is not itself a career college and does not provide the training programs or credentials offered by the colleges to which we may refer individuals.

2. Information We Collect

When you complete a form on our website or landing page, contact us, or book a consultation, we may collect information such as:

  • your name;
  • phone number;
  • email address;
  • city or general location;
  • career or program interests;
  • information you voluntarily provide during a consultation or follow-up conversation; and
  • basic technical information generated when you use our website, where applicable.

We aim to collect only the information reasonably necessary to provide our career advisory and referral services.

3. Why We Collect Your Information

We may use your personal information to:

  • respond to your inquiry;
  • contact you about your requested free career consultation;
  • understand your career interests and general training needs;
  • schedule and manage consultation appointments;
  • communicate with you by telephone, SMS or email;
  • provide information about potentially relevant career or training options;
  • follow up after a consultation;
  • connect you with a career college when you have agreed to that referral;
  • maintain records of inquiries, consultations and consent;
  • improve our services, website and communications;
  • comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations; and
  • prevent misuse, fraud or security problems.

We will not use your personal information for an unrelated purpose without obtaining any additional consent required by applicable law.

4. SMS and Email Communications

If you provide the required consent, Maple Career Hub may contact you by SMS and email regarding your inquiry, consultation, follow-up and relevant career or training information.

Where Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation applies, we will send commercial electronic messages only where we have an appropriate basis to do so.

You may withdraw your consent to receive marketing or commercial electronic messages at any time by using the unsubscribe instructions provided in the communication or by contacting us at [email protected].

Withdrawing consent to marketing communications does not necessarily prevent us from responding to a request you have made or sending communications that are otherwise permitted or required by law.

5. College Referrals and Sharing of Information

Maple Career Hub works with separately operated career colleges.

We do not automatically send your personal information to multiple colleges simply because you complete our online form.

If, during the consultation process, you decide that you would like to be connected with a particular college, we may ask for your consent to provide limited information to that college for the purpose of contacting you about the relevant program or admission process.

The information shared may include information such as your:

  • name;
  • phone number;
  • email address;
  • city; and
  • identified program or career interest.

We will obtain the appropriate consent before making this type of referral unless disclosure is otherwise permitted or required by law.

Once your information has been provided to a college with your consent, that college is responsible for its own privacy practices and handling of information under its control. You should review the college's privacy policy where appropriate.

6. We Do Not Sell Personal Information

Maple Career Hub does not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

Maple Career Hub may receive a referral commission from a college if a referred student enrolls, but this does not mean that we sell student personal information.

7. Service Providers

We may use third-party service providers to help operate our business, including providers involved in:

  • website hosting;
  • form processing;
  • customer relationship management;
  • appointment scheduling;
  • email delivery;
  • SMS or telephone communications;
  • data storage;
  • website analytics; and
  • security or technical support.

These providers may process personal information only as reasonably necessary to perform services for Maple Career Hub and are expected to handle information appropriately.

Some service providers may process or store information outside Canada. If this applies to Maple Career Hub's systems, personal information may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction in which it is processed or stored.

8. Cookies and Website Analytics

Our website may use cookies, analytics technologies or similar tools to understand how visitors use the website and to improve its operation.

Depending on the technologies used on the website, these tools may collect information such as browser type, device information, pages visited, approximate location or referral source.

Where required, additional notice or consent may be provided for particular technologies.

You may be able to limit cookies through your browser settings, although doing so may affect certain website functions.

9. How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including providing our services, maintaining appropriate business records and meeting legal or regulatory requirements.

When information is no longer reasonably required, we will take appropriate steps to delete, destroy or anonymize it, subject to applicable legal requirements and legitimate record-keeping needs.

10. Protecting Your Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, loss, misuse or alteration.

No website, electronic communication or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may contact us to:

  • request access to personal information we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • ask questions about how your information has been used or disclosed;
  • withdraw consent where consent is the basis for our use or disclosure of information; or
  • raise a concern about our privacy practices.

We may need to verify your identity before providing access to or changing personal information.

Withdrawal of consent may affect our ability to provide certain services where the information is reasonably necessary for those services.
